About Us

Group Picture

We are a group of Christians seeking to follow Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible to be the means God has chosen to reveal His will to us (1 Corinthians 2:9-13).  We are not looking for permission to do what the Bible does not allow, even if we like it.

“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed” (NKJ, Galatians 1:8-9).

Without a doubt, this gospel is God’s power to save (Romans 1:16).  Paul writes to Rome, “God commends his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (ASV, Romans 5:8).  Jesus took the penalty of death that should have been my lot.  He who knew no sin became the sin offering for my sin.  The Bible word, “propitiation” expresses that thought.

To gain any value in the death of Christ, a soul must come in obedient faith to declare his or her allegiance to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  Galatians 5:6 tells us that the thing that avails for us is “faith that works through love.  He who can save you and equip you for heaven deserves your all.  He is worthy of so much more than we can give Him.   No amount of good works, or worship can repay the debt I owe.   What he wants of you and me, in return, is to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind.  How do we do this?   Read what John wrote in answer to the meaning of love for God.  “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love” (2 John 1:6).  ”This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome…” (1 John 5:3). To be obedient to God’s commands is to show our love for God.

Life is short (James 4:14).  Eternity is sure! Paul wrote, “For we must all be made manifest before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  Knowing therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men… (2 Cor. 5:10).  Peter speaks about the Lord’s promise to return when he says, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, the heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be burned up” (2 Peter 3:9-10).

God is not merely desirous of us being religious. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your Name, and done many wonders in Your Name?’ And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:21-23).

How can we help you prepare for that day?
